BPBK (Building Industry Design Office) is a firm of renown which since 1951 has been performing services of designing infrastructure objects for towns and communities by making complex plans of sewage and water supply systems, sewage-treatment plants, water purification plants, roads and streets, highways and road junctions.
In 1951 BPBK took up commercial activity engaging in Katowice and territorial branches in Częstochowa, Bielsko and Gliwice 89 employees. During next 35 years average employment was above 300 persons periodically exceeded 500.
In 1991 BPBK was transformed into BPBK Company Ltd. and since then has been successfully meeting a challenge of free-market economy enlarging it’s potential by permanent and huge hardware and software modernization investments, and readjusting staff number (98 persons at present) to the increasing technical potential and market conditions.
Nowadays BPBK runs it’s business in Katowice Strong point of the firm is great experience of it’s staff combined with modernity of technology and equipment. Most of sewage-treatment plants, main road junctions, important water supply and sewage systems of the Silesian District are constructed on the basis of our designs frequently containing elements of inventions. For a long period of time our Office due to it’s renown and staff potential fulfil an obligation of nationwide patronage in designing of municipal sewage systems and sewage-treatment plants and was obliged to make opinions coordinating all municipal investments in the Silesian District. It also organized nationwide branch seminars. Since 1993 our Office is a collective expert in "Conservation of surface water", and from 1996 – a collective member of the "Engineers, Consultants and Experts Society"..

In nationwide competitions - first prizes for designs of the highways junctions in Chorzów, Ruda, “Green Highway” junction, and the second prize for junction in Gliwice.
In nationwide “Building of the Year” competition - awards for “Dziećkowice” water supply system and sewage-treatment plants in Czechowice-Dziedzice and in Zabrze (proposals were put forward by contractors) and in 2004 award for “Radzikowskiego” road junction in Kraków.
In nationwide “Modernization of the Year” competition in 2002 award for the design of sewage-treatment plant in Chrzanów.
